Strong Women: Self Defense Workshop
Updated: Nov 15, 2019
Self defense is about awareness, assertiveness, safety strategies and physical techniques that give you the skills and confidence to successfully resist, escape and survive violent attacks.
Join Sean Gleason, a law enforcement officer of 24 years and Brazilian Jiujitsu black belt, as he leads you through this workshop. In addition to being a black belt, Sean is the creator of and has been the instructor for the Sarasota Police Department's defensive tactics program for over 20 years.
In this two hour workshop Sean, along with two other veteran officers who are certified law enforcement defensive tactics instructors, will teach ways to increase situational awareness as well as various, proven techniques, similar to what is taught to local law enforcement officers, to ensure your safety in potentially dangerous situations. Not only will you learn the hands on techniques to be able to defend yourself and escape danger but you will receive insight and knowledge from officers with over 45 years of combined law enforcement experience. These three instructors are the best of the best to learn from.
